    The Hermon Middle School PTA meets regularly on the first Wednesday of each month* at 6:30 p.m. in the HMS multi-purpose room.Membership dues are $4.25 per year. PTA members meet to review and discuss financial requests from school personnel, plan fun and engaging activities for the students and plan fundraising activities. The PTA holds one fundraiser early in the school year. The money raised during this venture represents the largest portion of the spending budget each year. During the 2008-2009 academic year proceeds from the fundraiser allowed the PTA to buy books for HMS library, support an author visit (Tim Green), sponsor a Hermon Fitness Trail station, support the Skip Gorman Wild West Show (5th grade), host the HMS Variety Show, buy an ice maker for the school and miscellaneous other things. These are just a few of the wonderful programs that PTA can support with the money raised during the fundraiser, the box tops for education program, the cell phone/ink cartridge recycling program and from membership dues. PTA is always looking for new members. Attendance at the monthly meetings is not required. Participation at any level is encouraged.
